"Tahrir Square isn't Cairo and Cairo isn't Egypt..."

    No shit...

And Shakers Heights, Cook County, UCLA and Twitter Land ain't Tahrir Square... let alone Egypt.

"We will create our own revolution and our own 'people'..."

    Yeah? No Shit...

And you will create it with the Madison Ave "democracy" slogans of two-bit American politicians and the obvious competence of junior Google executives? Really?

    No shit...

And now that the Secret Police guy declares victory in the Egyptian elections, which dickhead is responsible?

Wanna show us some purple fingers?

There is pure stupidity and then there is criminal stupidity. The middle-classes aren't just ignorant. They are criminally, arrogantly, and dangerously stupid...

    Every time... and without exception.

Karzai knows what it all means...

He's just holding up the wrong finger.

Its difficult to even know what to say about this. Apparently their sole request is that the Egyptian military please have a sham election at their earliest possible convenience. Actually, maybe it makes perfect sense: its just like home.

Well, you can't fight the right of the people. The people obviously wanted a Mubarek stooge and Secret Police guy... or maybe they wanted a religious tool?

    Let's see now...

    Option A - Elections don't mean shit.
Option B - Egyptians are idiots.
Option C - They stole it, I'm a tellin' ya!
Option D - I'm tuning out if this moves any further out of my frame of reference...

Sounds like the script if Romney wins, although I guess option D is 'Canada'

How is the script different if the big "O" wins? That's the beauty of it - no difference!
"The present status of society is but the result of the struggle of humankind during this and preceding periods - yes, struggle! "You cannot reform society by the sprinkling of rose oil" said Mirabeau, and history proves the correctness of this statement. In no age did the rulers and despoilers of our race relinquish their hold upon the throat of their victims, unless forced to - by logic and argument? No...Blood, the precious sap was ever the price of liberty." August Spies, 1886

Might I add myopic? The term 'petty bourgeois' is well named and works even better in translation, like the 'banksters' which they decry they can see no further than the nose on their faces and have all of the survival sense of the Dodo. They reach for proffered fruit even as the axe is poised.
