Which color is the most destructive to what little is left of the electoral process in the U.S.?

If you want to, please say why.

    little old (curious) me

I said purple, and by now you should all know WHY.

    Purple

It legitimizes red, and allows it to permeate everything.

  4. #4

yep, what they said about purple.

i wonder how this poll would fare over at DU?

i'm betting that green would be the top choice, followed by red.

  5. #5

I was wondering how it'd do over there, too....

but, I refuse to ever sign in/post at that place again.

Anyone who is still at DU, and is wondering how this would so, feel free to post it over there... it's okay by me.

One has to be a donor over there to post polls.

    I won't donate to them anymore. :)

  7. #7

    A donor. Really?

I had no idea. I guess that will leave most of us out! :lmfao:

Red beyond a shadow of a doubt

They have kept us at war over a false flag operation. Plenty of corruption and rip offs to show their compassion. Tripling of the national debt.
The whole purple thingy is overblown. When you see a purple dem., vote them out and get them replaced with a bluer one or green/independent.

The country is in so much trouble right now, that we can not lose sight of the enemy.

All of those reasons you give for blaming the Reds

can and should be applied to both Parties. The reds could not have done what they did without the support and complicity of the Blues. And deep down, you know this...
"The present status of society is but the result of the struggle of humankind during this and preceding periods - yes, struggle! "You cannot reform society by the sprinkling of rose oil" said Mirabeau, and history proves the correctness of this statement. In no age did the rulers and despoilers of our race relinquish their hold upon the throat of their victims, unless forced to - by logic and argument? No...Blood, the precious sap was ever the price of liberty." August Spies, 1886

the constituent parts of purple are red and blue

    do you understand that now?

The system is corrupt, not just one side of the system.

The Democrats have been out of power since the early 90''s

They still don't have the power to over ride the obstructionist republicans. The purple shading is caused by too much red and there are also some on the blue side that are wishy washy blue and easily turned purple/red. See Lieberman- party of one.

Deep down you should know this. Throwing a wrench in the democratic machine will not help us at this important jucture.

Both sides have corruption, but the republicans have more than

their share. The looting of the country of the past 8 years should tell you that.
Blaming the dems for all the woes is not right. See Delay, GFY cheney, PNAC etc

    The "democratic machine"

and the republican machine are the same machine. The idea that there are two machines is the pernicious seed of a great deal of our problems. When you read Gore Vidal's great works on American history, he doesn't single-out democrats as any better than republicans - or republicans as any worse than democrats. He points out that it is all of a piece. Democrats are on the left side of the corporate power structure (more as a PR stance than actual politics) and the republicans are on the right, but they are both members of the board and they both want the same things - and it is not the betterment of our lives (and by "our" I mean all of us world citizens of the slave class)...

and what have the Democrats done to counter it?

Hold a hearing or two? Let Rove, Myers, Mukasey, etc. get away with not even showing up? Let Bush claim executive privelege on everything? Pass the Patriot Act? Pass the FISA revisions?

Reublicans may be more corrupt, but the Democrats are enablers. They're assisting in the corporate takeover of America.

  15. #15

They're all out for themselves but the republicans are still worse

I can't see why good people can't see that. War, terror, assassinations as they play like they are pure as the driven snow. The luddite republicans would take us back to the stone age if they could. Global warming and alternative energy be damned.

Hopefully we are not done with the criminals yet.

The wheels of Justice turn very slowly and there seems to be no Justice right now. With more power and the people behind them, the representatives could help- including a more progressive Supreme Court. I don't like the Patriot act or FISA stuff either, but we are fooling ourselves if we think big brother could not operate already as they choose. Of course sane people in charge will keep them at bay.

If GWB and Cheney leave the White House....

there will be no justice, unless of course they're foolish enough to get caught in another country and taken to the Hague.

As for everything that Bush and the Pukes have done wrong over the last 8 years, you'll pardon me if I don't think Democrats will be prompt in cleaning up the mess.
