I just found you guys after I realized that one of my favorite posters over at DU (DoYouEverWonder) had been Tombstoned on a 911 thread in GD. I hate when that happens over at DU.

There are certain subjects over there that are just not allowed to be debated, which is very sad indeed. I wish people could just discuss the topic and if they don't agree then just post your opinion and move on or ignore. I try to stay out of the flame wars.

I am finding this site very interesting and see I have much to read.

I always had my suspicions that 'outside influences' were penetrating that place by volunteering to moderate (in addition, of course, to the trolls ranging from the obvious to the manipulatively chiseled).

I am still trying to find myself around. I recognize many DU'ers here. It is nice to see that many different kinds of ideas and thoughts are expressed here without the flame wars. It is depressing when a thread is started over there and it either gets locked, sent to the basement or someone gets TS'ed over an exchange of ideas. Good to be here.
