Medicare, Social Security protest to be held in League City

Local Democrats will rally on July 23 to protest proposed changes to Medicare and Social Security.
Democratic Party organizations from Harris, Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend and Jefferson counties are inviting residents to attend the July 23 rally, protesting proposed changes to Medicare and Social Security.
General Ricardo Sanchez, U.S. Congress members Al Green and Sheila Jackson Lee, and AFL-CIO Secretary Treasurer Texas John Patrick are the featured speakers.
This free event will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at Walter Hall Park, 807 Highway 3 N. in League City. Barbecue will be available for $5, according to the press release.
